SCREEN PRINTING

WHY SCREEN PRINTING?

The majority of our jobs get printed on one of three automatic press' that we run. With automatic screen printing we are capable of high volume and numerous colour print runs with extreme consistency.

We are able to print many different placements on garments from full front jumbo prints, to arm length sleeve prints, hem prints and even pocket prints.

Most jobs are printed using soft hand plastisol. This is the preferred method for most of our customers as it's offers the best all round finish. It’s good to know that we only use phthalate free inks, they are soft to touch, offer the greatest vibrancy and has the best washability of all the inks we offer. With the correct care and washing a plastisol print will last for many years.

A great benefit which our customers enjoy is that the automatic press' also allow us to keep on top of our already extremely fast turnaround.

PHOTOGRAPHIC PRINTING

If you're looking for photo realistic screen printing whether in full colour or in tonal grey scale we're able to do it all.

Depending on your artwork this can be achieved in a number of ways whether it's CMYK, Simulated Process
or a blend of tones creating a greyscale image.

Our in-house team of experts will provide all the information you need.

SPECIALITY INKS

Other than offering straight forward printing methods we also specialise in the not so ordinary. Offering a wide range of inks and additives to really make your prints stand out.

METALLIC INKS

DISCHARGE PRINTING

Whether it's metallic inks which are available in either Gold, Silver & Bronze. Black on Black or other eye catching subtleties and the very quirky glow in the dark ink! We also offer water based options and discharge printing. Discharge printing is where the pigment in the garment is removed and your chosen print colour is left as a deposit on the natural cotton substrate. Please note that not all of these methods are suited to certain print factors so get in touch to ask our expert advice on where and when to use them.

ARTWORK & PRINT AREA

For mock ups and quoting purposes high res JPEGs are fine. All print ready artwork must be produced at a minimum of 300dpi (resolution) and at least A3 in canvas size (210mm x 420mm) in either Vector, JPEG or PSD format. We can work off lower resolution files but please note that this will reflect in the finished product.

If you have a mock up please send it along with your artwork so we can match your desired placement, if you have specific dimensions and print placement please state these on the order form which you will be provided.

Maximum print area is approx 380mm by 490mm, but please note this size will not fit on most small t-shirts. We recommend printing no wider than 350mm if you intend on ordering anything smaller than a men’s medium t-shirt. Maximum width of sleeve prints is 85mm. If you are ordering a variety of garment sizes including children's we may need to scale the artwork to fit the smallest garment. We do not recommend printing over seems/hems/zips etc as these are not flat surfaces the screen will not clear/print correctly or consistant.
